Martin Lechowicz

- Martin is one of the up-incoming young guns in the NYC scene. Naturally talented, he has two goals for the 2008 season. Goal number 1.) Do well in nationals. Goal 2.) Become a category one rider.

Bio

- I started racing late as a Jr. approximately 17 years old. I got into cycling because of a man named, Igor introduced me into it. At first, I thought the sport was a joke. I figured, “how could men in tights racing on bikes be cool” It wasn’t exactly very appealing to me, but having tried nearly every other sport that my high school offered, I was opened to it. Next, I needed a team, so I went to a local race in Brooklyn and I was formally introduced to Fernando Cuevas. We talked a little bit and he said he was willing to give me the opportunity to race for the team, as long as I put the effort in it. Basically, I was on the team and that’s how I started.

Martin is: Member, Admin, and Elite Team.
